Sacramento, CA – On the evening of Tuesday, July 15, 2025, a multi-vehicle collision involving a Sacramento Regional Transit bus resulted in multiple injuries, according to FOX40.

The Sacramento Police Department reports that the accident took place around 7:30 PM near the intersection of Arden Way and Heritage Lane. 

Responding officers arrived at the scene following reports of a crash involving multiple vehicles and a public transit bus. Initial findings indicate that a driver, suspected of being under the influence of alcohol, struck the bus along with at least two other vehicles.

The driver collided with a fire hydrant, causing it to rupture and leak water into the roadway. Emergency crews were dispatched to address the water hazard, assist injured individuals, and secure the scene.

Police stated that injuries were reported among multiple parties. Paramedics provided medical attention at the scene, and the suspected driver was transported to a local hospital for further evaluation and treatment. The identities of the individuals involved have not been released.

The incident is being investigated as a DUI and hit-and-run. Officers are working to determine the sequence of events leading up to the crash.
