Shafter, CA – On the early afternoon of Monday, July 7, 2025, a multi-vehicle collision in Shafter resulted in possible injuries, according to KBAK.

The Shafter Police Department reports that the accident took place around 12:35 PM at the intersection of Cherry Avenue and East Lerdo Highway.

Authorities responded to a three-vehicle rollover crash that prompted the closure of northbound lanes on Cherry Avenue. Emergency personnel arrived at the scene to manage traffic and assess those involved in the collision. The extent of injuries has not yet been confirmed.

Northbound traffic was diverted for several hours as crews worked to clear the wreckage. By 2:09 PM, Shafter police confirmed that the roadway had reopened.

Motorists were advised to avoid the area during the closure and use alternate routes. The crash remains under investigation.
