Gilroy, CA – On the evening of Tuesday, July 15, 2025, a motorcycle collision left a pedestrian with fatal injuries, according to KRON.
The authorities report that the accident took place around 7:55 PM near the intersection of Santa Teresa Boulevard and Ballybunion Drive.
Responding officers and firefighters arrived at the scene to find a 61-year-old man lying in the roadway with critical injuries after being struck by a motorcycle. Emergency personnel transported the pedestrian to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Police also located a 53-year-old motorcyclist at the scene who sustained minor injuries. He remained at the location and cooperated with the initial investigation. Officials have not released the identity of the deceased pedestrian pending notification of next of kin.
The circumstances leading up to the crash remain under investigation. Authorities have not indicated whether speed, impairment, or other factors contributed to the collision.
