Sacramento, CA – On the night of Monday, June 30, 2025, a vehicle-versus-pedestrian collision resulted in the death of a woman, according to KCRA.
The Sacramento Police Department reports that the accident took place around 9:30 PM in the 2600 block of Fruitridge Road near 24th Street.
Authorities said the woman was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene before officers arrived. Emergency responders attempted life-saving measures, but the woman was pronounced dead at the location. Her identity has not yet been released by the coroner’s office pending notification of next of kin.
Fruitridge Road was closed to traffic between 24th and 28th streets while investigators documented the scene and gathered evidence. Police have not released a description of the vehicle or suspect, and no arrests have been made as of Tuesday.
