June 14, 2025, Oildale, CA: On Saturday night, a pedestrian accident took place after a slow-speed chase in Oildale that left two injured.
According to information provided by KGET, the collision happened around 9:15 p.m. on North Chester Avenue close to Decatur Street and Lincoln Avenue. Police confirmed that deputies were involved in a slow-speed chase with a possibly stolen vehicle. The driver turned into an alleyway going about 15 mph and struck two pedestrians who were walking in the area.
As a result, the two men were trapped under the vehicle. Several deputies stopped the driver and were able to lift the vehicle off the men. The two sustained moderate injuries and were taken to a hospital for treatment.
Police took the driver involved in the crash into custody but their charges have not been announced.
No further details have been released but police continue their investigation.
