June 10, 2025, Carmel, CA: One person tragically lost their life in a fatal pedestrian accident that took place in Carmel on Tuesday morning.
The accident, according to information provided by Kion46, the accident happened at 5 a.m. near the Rocky Creek Bridge. Police confirmed that a pedestrian was headed north in the area when they were suddenly struck by the driver of a passenger vehicle. The driver allegedly remained on scene after the accident.
The pedestrian, who has not yet been formally identified, was tragically pronounced dead on scene due to the accident. Nobody else was hurt in the collision.
California Highway Patrol officials continue their investigation into the accident at this time.
