June 20, 2025, Monterey, CA: Three vehicles were involved in a collision that took place at an intersection in Monterey on Friday afternoon.
The accident, according to California Highway Patrol, occurred at 4:01 p.m. at the intersection of US-101 and John Street. Police confirmed that three vehicles were traveling in the area when they were involved in a multi-vehicle collision due to reasons that remain under investigation. The vehicles were identified as a red Chevrolet Suburban, a gray sedan, and an older van.
One or more parties were injured in the accident. The parties were rushed to the hospital for treatment.
Due to the severity of the collision, lane 2 of US-101 was blocked for some time.
