June 15, 2025, Bakersfield, CA: A woman was killed in a fatal bicycle accident in Bakersfield and has now been identified.
The accident, according to KGET, occurred at 11:35 p.m. on Sunday night, June 15. Police confirmed that 34-year-old Carissa Marie Sileo of Bakersfield was riding her bicycle on Roberts Lane just east of Plymouth Avenue. At the same time, a 21-year-old man was traveling westbound on Roberts in a 2013 Chevrolet Impala. He suddenly collided with the bicycle due to reasons that are still being investigated.
Paramedics tragically pronounced Sileo deceased on the scene at 11:38 p.m. Nobody else was hurt in the accident.
Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the collision at this time.
