May 27, 2025, Shafter, CA: A school bus accident that led to several parties sustaining injuries took place in Shafter on Tuesday.
According to information provided by KGET, the collision occurred at 1:18 p.m. at the intersection of Wasco Avenue and Tulare Avenue. Police confirmed that a school bus and a yellow RAM pickup truck were involved in a collision with each other. This caused the pickup truck to slam into a tree off the side of the road. Both vehicles sustained immense front-end damage.
Four people were taken to the hospital with injuries caused by the accident. Their current conditions are not yet known.
No further details have been released but police continue to investigate the circumstances leading up to the accident at this time.
