May 19, 2025, Snelling, CA: On Monday morning, a man was tragically killed in a motorcycle collision that took place at an intersection in Snelling.
According to information provided by Your Central Valley, the collision occurred around 9:45 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 59 and Snelling Road. Police confirmed that a 92-year-old man was driving a Toyota pickup truck on Highway 59 headed toward the intersection. At the same time, a 72-year-old man was riding his Honda motorcycle northbound on Highway 59 and also headed toward the intersection.
As both vehicles approached, the driver of the pickup truck started to slow down and made an unsafe left turn in front of the motorcyclist. The front of the pickup truck collided with the motorcycle. This caused the motorcyclist to be thrown from their bike and onto the road.
Paramedics tried to assist the motorcyclist but he was tragically pronounced dead on scene. The 92-year-old sustained major injuries and was rushed to the hospital by medical helicopter.
No further details have been released but police continue their investigation at this time.
