March 3, 2025, Delhi, CA: A woman was tragically killed in a fatal pedestrian accident that happened near a Delhi intersection on Monday afternoon.
The accident, according to information provided by Your Central Valley, occurred around 1:45 p.m. at the intersection of Shanks Road and Lewis Circle. Police confirmed that a 77-year-old man was driving his Toyota Camry south on Shanks approaching the intersection while the woman was trying to walk across the crosswalk. The man struck the pedestrian, then stopping at the scene.
The woman, identified as a local 75-year-old, sustained major head injuries. As she was being taken to the hospital, she tragically passed away from her injuries.
California Highway Patrol continues its investigation into the circumstances of the accident at this time.
