Fatal Pedestrian Crash near I-280 Geneva Ave On-Ramp in San Francisco

San Francisco, CA – On the early morning of Monday, March 3, 2025, a pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle on southbound Interstate 280 near the Geneva Avenue on-ramp, according to CHP Fatal.

The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reports that officers were alerted at approximately 12:10 AM that a pedestrian had been hit by a sedan on the freeway’s southbound lanes. 

Emergency personnel responded promptly, finding the pedestrian lying in the roadway. In the aftermath of the incident, a traffic break was implemented to facilitate the response. The pedestrian’s injuries were fatal.
