March 1, 2025, Salinas, CA: A pedestrian tragically lost their life in a fatal accident near a Salinas intersection on Saturday night.
According to information provided by Kion46 News Channel, the collision happened at 8:47 p.m. on North Main Street near the area of Rossi Street. Police confirmed that a pedestrian was crossing the street near the intersection when they were suddenly struck by a passenger vehicle. A second vehicle then struck the pedestrian. Police say that the driver of the first vehicle stopped and remained on scene.
The pedestrian, identified as a 69-year-old man from Salinas, was tragically pronounced dead on scene as a result of his injuries. Nobody else was hurt in the accident.
Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the collision.
