Modesto, CA – On the evening of Friday, March 15, 2025, a driver was killed in a collision with a big rig, according to CBS13.
The Modesto Police Department reports that the crash took place around 5:30 PM near the intersection of Morgan Road and Nelson Way.
When officers arrived at the scene, they found a blue Ford Mustang that had collided with a big rig. The driver of the Mustang sustained serious injuries and was transported to a hospital, where he later died. Authorities have not yet released his identity.
The driver of the big rig suffered minor injuries in the crash.
Investigators determined that the Mustang was traveling southbound on Morgan Road when it collided with a northbound big rig just south of the intersection with Nelson Way.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and police are urging anyone with information to come forward.
