Visalia, CA – Early on the morning of Saturday, February 22, 2025, a pedestrian was struck by a suspected DUI driver and left in critical condition, according to KSEE.
The Visalia Police Department reports that the accident took place around 3:15 AM at the intersection of Divisadero and Houston Avenues.
The vehicle, traveling westbound on Houston Avenue, collided with the pedestrian and then crashed into a nearby light pole.
Investigators arrested the driver on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. The pedestrian was transported to an area hospital where they remain in critical condition.
Authorities are urging anyone with information about the collision to contact the Visalia Police Department’s Traffic Unit.
