Newcastle, CA – On the evening of Monday, February 10, 2025, medics were requested at a multi-vehicle collision which disrupted traffic on westbound Interstate 80, according to KCRA.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reports that the crash took place around 6:20 PM near Gilardi Road in Newcastle and involved three vehicles.
Emergency crews responded to the scene, and at least one lane was blocked as a result of the collision. The request for medics at the crash site indicates that one or more parties suffered an injury, however no further details have been released regarding who was injured or the severity of their injuries.
Authorities have made no indication as to whether drugs or alcohol played a roll in the accident. The incident remains under investigation.
