February 2, 2025, Bakersfield, CA: One person lost their life in a fatal head-on collision that happened on a major highway in Bakersfield on Sunday evening.
According to information provided by Bakersfield Now, the accident happened around 5:57 p.m. on Sunday evening on Highway 58 in the westbound lanes. California Highway Patrol stated that two vehicles were traveling on the highway when they collided head-on into one another due to reasons that remain under investigation.
One person was tragically pronounced dead on scene as a result of injuries caused by the accident. It is not known if anybody else was injured.
No further details have been released but police continue their investigation into the accident at this time.
