February 25, 2025, Chowchilla, CA: One person tragically lost their life in a fatal two-vehicle collision that took place at an intersection in Chowchilla on Tuesday.
According to information provided by Your Central Valley, the accident happened around 5 a.m. at the intersection of Avenue 25 and Road 9. Police confirmed that a woman was traveling south on Road 9 in a Nissan Altima while a man was traveling west in a Toyota Tacoma. Police confirmed that both vehicles entered the intersection, causing them to collide.
The 39-year-old female driver was tragically pronounced dead on scene as a result of traumatic injuries. The male driver sustained minor injuries.
No further details have been released but police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the accident at this time.
