December 20, 2024, San Luis Obispo, CA: A hit-and-run accident that led to major injuries occurred in San Luis Obispo on Friday afternoon.
The accident, according to information provided by KSBY, happened around 1 p.m. at 50 Chorro Street. Police confirmed that a woman was walking in the area when she was suddenly struck by a passing vehicle whose driver did not stop at the scene. When first responders arrived on scene, they found the woman lying near parked vehicles.
The pedestrian, identified as a 24-year-old woman, was rushed to the hospital with major injuries.
On Saturday, Police were able to locate the vehicle involved in the accident and pulled the driver over. The driver, identified as a 61-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of hit-and-run with great bodily harm, hit-and-run of a parked car, and more.
