December 1, 2024, Clovis, CA: A woman was killed in a multi-vehicle accident involving a suspected DUI driver in Clovis on Sunday morning.
The accident, according to information provided by ABC30, took place around 2 a.m. at the intersection of Gettysburg and Fowler Avenues. When Clovis Police arrived on scene, they found that five vehicles were involved in a multi-vehicle collision. Investigators discovered that a 19-year-old man was speeding near the intersection when he ran through a red light, T-boning a silver Hyundai. The two vehicles then spun out, striking three vehicles that were parked in the area.
The driver of the first vehicle, as well as his two passengers, were hospitalized. Two people in the Hyundai were also rushed to the hospital with injuries. A woman who was a passenger in the silver Hyundai was tragically pronounced deceased at the hospital.
Police claim that the 19-year-old driver will be booked in jail on multiple charges, which includes DUI.
The investigation into the collision remains ongoing.
