November 3, 2024, Porterville, CA: Two people were killed and one was injured in a rollover accident that took place at an intersection in Lindsay on Sunday.
According to information provided by Your Central Valley, the collision happened around 4:05 p.m. at the intersection of Foothill Avenue and Lindmore Street. Police confirmed that a driver was traveling south in a white Silverado pickup truck near the Lindsay-Strathmore Cemetery when they approached the stop sign and collided with a Kia that was traveling westbound. Both of the vehicles overturned as a result.
Paramedics pronounced both adult male occupants of the Kia deceased on scene as a result of their injuries. The driver of the Silverado sustained major injuries and the passenger fled the scene on foot.
Police are still investigating the circumstances of the crash and why the passenger fled the scene. Their investigation is ongoing.
