November 18, 2024, Madera, CA: A male tragically lost his life in a pedestrian accident that took place on Monday morning in Madera.
According to information provided by Your Central Valley, the accident happened around 6:30 a.m. at 1800 West Cleveland Avenue. Police confirmed that a male pedestrian was walking in the area when he was suddenly struck by the driver of a passenger vehicle. The driver remained on scene until police arrived.
The pedestrian was rushed to Valley Children’s Hospital and was tragically pronounced dead while there due to his injuries. The driver of the vehicle, identified as a minor, was not hurt.
Madera Police Department officials have not released any other information but their investigation into the accident remains ongoing at this time.
