October 21, 2024, Lemoore, CA: A woman was arrested and two people were injured following a high-speed pursuit that led to an accident in Lemoore on Monday afternoon.
According to information provided by Your Central Valley, the accident happened around 2:30 p.m. at the intersection of 18th and Jackson Avenues after an eight-mile chase between police and a vehicle that started on Highway 198. The driver struck two vehicles at the intersection before coming to a stop.
Police discovered that the vehicle that led them on the chase was stolen. The driver, identified as a 23-year-old woman, was arrested on charges of felony pursuit and possessing a stolen vehicle.
The two drivers who were hit at the intersection sustained injuries. They were both treated by paramedics.
No further details have been released but the investigation into the collision remains ongoing.
