October 26, 2024, Salinas, CA: An officer sustained injuries in a catastrophic accident that took place at a Salinas intersection early Saturday morning.
According to information provided by Kion 46 News Channel, the collision happened around 12:30 a.m. at the intersection of Williams Road and East Market Street. An officer was responding to a call with lights and sirens on when they were involved in a crash with a second vehicle at the intersection. The police cruiser overturned as a result of the collision, while the second vehicle sustained extensive front-end damage.
Paramedics rushed the officer to the hospital. The occupants in the other vehicle were treated on scene for their injuries.
