October 24, 2024, Salinas, CA: A man tragically lost his life in a motorcycle crash that took place at an intersection in Salinas on Thursday evening.
According to information provided by Kion 46 News Channel, the accident happened around 5:45 p.m. at the intersection of Maryal Drive and Laurel Drive. Police confirmed that a vehicle was making a left turn at the intersection when it slammed into a motorcycle that was traveling east on Laurel. The driver of the passenger vehicle remained on scene following the crash.
The motorcyclist, identified as a 34-year-old Salinas man, was tragically pronounced dead on scene as a result of his injuries. It is not known if anybody else was hurt in the crash.
No further details have been released at this time. The investigation into the collision remains ongoing.
