September 26, 2024, Bakersfield, CA: On Thursday morning, a pedestrian accident took the life of a man in Bakersfield as he was pushing his disabled vehicle.
According to information provided by KGET, the accident happened at 12:05 a.m. on 3200 7th Standard Road around the area of Zachary Avenue. When officials arrived on scene, they discovered that a man was pushing his disabled vehicle east on 7th Standard when a vehicle traveling through the area struck him. The driver remained on scene after the accident.
The male pedestrian sustained major injuries and was tragically pronounced dead on scene as a result. Nobody else was hurt in the collision.
