September 2, 2024, Fowler, CA: A man was tragically killed in an accident involving a tractor and a pickup truck in Fowler on Monday night.
According to Your Central Valley, the collision happened at 8:15 p.m. on Floral Avenue around the area of Temperance Avenue. Police confirmed that a Toyota Tacoma was traveling in the area when the driver failed to see a tractor in enough time and slammed into the back of it.
The driver of the tractor, identified as a 72-year-old Selma man, was ejected onto the dirt shoulder. He sustained major injuries and was transported to the hospital. He was tragically pronounced dead while there. The driver of the Toyota was not injured as a result.
Police continue their investigation into the circumstances leading up to the accident at this time.
