September 9, 2024, Porterville, CA: A bicyclist was severely injured in an accident that took place in Porterville on Monday night.
According to information provided by Your Central Valley, the accident happened in the southbound lanes of Newcomb Street. A bicyclist was traveling northbound in the area when he was suddenly struck by a passenger vehicle due to reasons that are still being investigated.
The bicyclist, identified as a 38-year-old man from Porterville, was seriously injured in the accident. He was taken to Kaweah Delta Hospital for treatment. The driver of the passenger vehicle was not injured.
