August 28, 2024, Clovis, CA: A motorcyclist was killed in an accident involving a suspected DUI driver in Clovis on Wednesday morning.
The accident, according to information provided by Your Central Valley, happened at 11 a.m. at the intersection of Barstow and Sunnyside Avenues. A motorcyclist was traveling west in the area when a driver in an SUV suddenly pulled out in front of the motorcycle. This caused the two vehicles to collide with each other.
The motorcyclist was tragically pronounced dead on scene due to their injuries. The driver of the red SUV remained on scene but was not injured. They were, however, detained by police on suspicion of DUI.
No further details have been released but Clovis Police continue their investigation into the circumstances of the accident at this time.
