August 11, 2024, Tulare, CA: A fatal bicycle accident involving a hit-and-run driver took the life of one man on Sunday morning in Tulare.
According to ABC30, the collision happened around 9 a.m. on Road 68 near the area of Highway 198 in Tulare, which is just south of Goshen. California Highway Patrol claims that a person was traveling north on the roadway when they suddenly approached a man on an orange bicycle riding on the shoulder. The car struck the bicyclist and then fled the scene of the accident.
The bicyclist, who has only been identified as an adult male, was tragically pronounced dead on scene. Nobody else was hurt in the collision.
Authorities have not yet found the driver responsible for the accident. Their investigation into the circumstances of the accident continues.
