Injuries were reported in a semi-truck accident that happened in Bakersfield on Tuesday. California Highway Patrol reported that the accident took place at 7:06 a.m. on State Route 99 just north of California State Route 223 in Bakersfield on August 8, 2023.

Officials confirmed that a white semi-truck and a Toyota Camry became involved in a collision with one another due to reasons that are still under investigation. The Camry rolled over onto its roof due to the force of the collision, causing serious damages.

Paramedics were dispatched to the scene and one or more parties reported major injuries as a result of the crash. Their current conditions remain unknown at this time.

Several lanes of traffic were blocked and traffic was slow in the area for some time. Police reopened all lanes of traffic by 8:32 a.m.

California Highway Patrol continues its investigation into the accident.
