Hit-And-Run Pedestrian Accident on Stockdale Highway in Bakersfield

Pedestrians in Bakersfield can face some really long walks just to reach a safe place to cross a road. There are also entire intersections where there are no crosswalks provided. Drivers must be especially cautious anytime they are in areas where pedestrians can be expected.

Drivers who strike pedestrians in crosswalks can be held fully responsible for the injury hardships and financial difficulties the victim will go through. Motorists can also be held accountable for a pedestrian collision that happens outside of a crosswalk. Victims and their families could still seek help in recovery.

Support for Bakersfield Pedestrian Victims After a Hit-and-Run

Victims in pedestrian accidents can suffer broken bones, traumatic brain injuries, and neck and spine damage. They could also be left fighting for their lives after a major impact.

Victims and their close family members can get help in recovery. They can file an injury claim against an at-fault driver’s car insurance provider. They would ask for full compensation for every current hospital bill and every cost of care expected in the months ahead. Victims should demand help in replacing the paychecks they lose while missing work. They must seek support for the physical pain and emotional trauma they go through.

When a hit-and-run pedestrian accident suspect escapes justice, victims can still hope to earn insurance support to protect themselves. The victim may have had uninsured motorist coverage that could help out the family financially at such a difficult time. If victims do not carry car insurance, they may be covered by a family member’s policy.
