Big Rig Multi-Vehicle Accident on Hwy 58 in Kern Co Near Edwards AFB

Rural highways across Kern County see traffic from many types of vehicles. Big rigs and produce trucks can bring additional dangers to anyone else on the road as they travel. These big trucks can be harder to stop when at full speed. Their weight and shape also contribute to additional damage and injuries in a collision.

Occupants in much smaller cars and SUVs can suffer broken bones and other internal injuries. In the worst cases, accidents may leave victims with traumatic injuries that become life-threatening.

Finding Support for Victims and Families After a Kern County Truck Accident

For families of loved ones tragically taken in a truck accident, a wrongful death claim filed against an at-fault driver’s insurance company may be required. Close relatives will face the costs of a funeral and ambulance fees and shouldn’t face these hardships alone.

A wrongful death claim is filed by a spouse, or children of the victim, or by a Bakersfield Truck Accident Lawyer on behalf of the entire family. This lawsuit seeks to earn financial support for the future as the family copes with the loss of the guidance and weekly income a loved one can no longer provide.

Surviving victims of truck accidents must often deal with painful and expensive recoveries. A claim for damages must be filed against an insurance company. This claim seeks help with all hospital and doctor expenses. The claim also demands reimbursement for the income and benefits the victim has lost while missing work.

When accidents involve truck drivers on the clock for local farms or for manufacturing companies, victims can sometimes hold businesses responsible for an employee’s mistake and seek additional compensation.
