Maison Law Attends Tour De Femme 2023, Participates in World Record for Bike Safety Challenge

As experienced Fresno bicycle accident lawyers, we are passionate about and committed to all efforts promoting bike safety. On May 13, 2023, Maison Law was honored to attend the Fresno Cycling Club’s 2023 Tour De Femme.

The annual event, which this year was held in conjunction with our “Pass the Helmet” World Record challenge, is a ride for charity that supports the Adaptive Sports Program at Valley Children’s Healthcare.  We were excited to learn about the program and some of the ways it helps children with disabilities stay active and achieve their dreams through participating in various sports and athletic events.

Maison Law could not have felt more welcomed and inspired by the FCC and its members. President Dennis Ball and vice president Janey Manuszak-Lucido were kind enough to invite us to this year’s event, which featured cyclists in tutus and tiaras, free donuts, and root beer floats for the crowd.

During the event, we also took advantage of our time with FCC members to converse about their mission and issues that we all face in Fresno relating to bike safety, which we also encounter frequently with our clients:

  • How Fresno approaches its cycling infrastructure, including bike paths and other routes.
  • The awareness of drivers’ rights and responsibilities to cyclists they share the road with.
  • Rules and best practices that every cyclist in Fresno should follow
  • How the Fresno Police Department enforces traffic laws relating to bicyclists

With the Tour De Femme and other events, the FCC provides a great service to Fresno and its bicyclists. It’s a great resource for cyclists of all levels, and they offer a variety of rides and programs that can help you get more involved in cycling and have fun while doing it. We look forward to supporting them in future events.
