Hit-And-Run Accident Dangers on Berryessa Rd in San Jose CA

San Jose car accident injury victims already face a difficult journey through recovery. When an at-fault driver decides to leave the scene of a crash in order to avoid liability, the decision puts injured victims at even more risk.

Those hurt can have to wait longer for medical care to be sent to the scene when a driver doesn’t bother to call 911 and report the accident as soon as possible. The hit-and-run driver may also escape identification and capture. This can leave the victims and their families facing enormous hospital bills all alone.

Securing Financial Assistance for Victims After a San Jose Hit-And-Run Accident

The victims of car accidents must often deal with difficult recoveries. Sometimes they are incapacitated to the point where they can’t even work to make sure an at-fault driver is held accountable. Sometimes family members must step in to help victims seek support for recovery costs.

Filing a claim for damages against an at-fault driver’s insurance company can ensure victims don’t get charged for even a cent of their recovery costs. Victims can require compensation for an emergency room visit and extended medical care in the weeks to come. They must also ask for help replacing the paychecks they’ve missed while dealing with too much pain to return to work.

In a case involving a hit-and-run driver that isn’t caught, victims and their families can still hope to secure compensation to help in recovery. Victims may be able to request support from their own car insurance policies. This claim would target the uninsured motorist portion of their policy.

A San Jose Car Accident Lawyer can file this claim on the victim’s car insurance policy and make sure the insurer provides every benefit necessary to allow victims and their families to rebuild their lives.
