A man was tragically killed in his car in a collision with a box truck in western Santa Maria Monday evening. KSBY-TV reports the accident occurred at the intersection of Main Street and Kathleen Court on January 23, 2023.
Santa Maria Police arrived on the scene sometime after 6:45 p.m. They determined that a man in a Cadillac traveling westbound on Main Street collided with a box truck that was attempting to pull onto Main Street.
The Cadillac’s driver, a 21-year-old man, died at the scene. Santa Maria Police Officers shut down traffic in the area for several hours while investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
