A multi-vehicle crash in northern Fairfield left several people injured on Thursday Afternoon. KTXL-TV reports the accident took place on westbound I-80 near Manuel Campos Parkway on August 4, 2022.
The Fairfield Fire Department responded to the scene to find a big rig involved in the accident had jackknifed. Several other cars were involved in the accident, but the exact number of vehicles hasn’t been reported.
Crews on the scene helped treat four people with minor to moderate injuries. Three people were taken to a local trauma center.
California Highway Patrol investigators continue to work to determine how the frightening accident unfolded.
