A hit-and-run suspect remains on the run after a female pedestrian was tragically struck and injured Monday night in Merced.
KSEE-TV reports the collision occurred near the intersection of G Street and 25th Street on June 6, 2022.
Merced police responded to the scene at around 9 p.m. to find a female victim in the roadway. A woman believed to be in her 30s was suffering from major injuries and was rushed to a local hospital. An update on her condition has not been released.
Through their investigation, officers found out that the driver of a BMW hit the woman and then left without calling 911. The vehicle was described as a grey BMW 5 Series car. It was between a 2011 and 2014 model.
