Dangerous Motorcycle Accidents on San Marcos Pass Hwy 154 In Santa Barbara County

The steep inclines and declines of mountain passes in Santa Barbara County can easily cause unfocused drivers to lose control of their vehicles. A large truck is especially difficult to maintain control over on hilly roads with tight curves.

A truck driver can easily veer outside of a lane or be going too fast to slow down for stopped traffic. This carelessness can cause collisions and leave motorcyclists, drivers, and passengers at risk of serious injury.

Seeking Support for Motorcycle Accident Victims in Santa Barbara County

Victims in frightening motorcycle accidents often don’t see their collisions coming and can end up in a hospital bed before they’ve had time to process what’s happened. They may have had little time to consider how much recovery from a fractured bone, a traumatic brain injury, or physical therapy for a back injury may cost in the weeks and months to come.

Victims and their family members can seek financial support from an at-fault driver’s vehicle insurance policy. This support can help cover medical expenses now and any expected in the future. The compensation is also intended to help keep victims afloat financially while they may miss days or weeks of work.

When a semi-truck driver is at-fault in a collision, victims could file accident claims against both the driver’s insurance and the company they work for. This gives riders hurt in collisions a better chance of earning support to fully cover their recovery costs.
