A woman walking in northwest Bakersfield was killed after getting struck by a young driver on Wednesday morning. KGET-TV reports the accident occurred in the 16000 block of Reina Road west of Old Farm Road on September 8, 2021.
Bakersfield police say a 48-year-old woman from Bakersfield was struck by a car driven by a teenage driver just after 7 a.m. The woman died from the injuries she sustained. Two other pedestrians were knocked down in the accident but were uninjured.
The driver responsible stayed on the scene to cooperate with investigators. Investigators say drugs or alcohol were not a factor in the tragic accident.
