A car rammed the side of a building after a collision with another vehicle in Santa Barbara Wednesday afternoon. ABC3-TV reports the accident happened around 4:10 p.m. along the 500 block of State Street on August 25, 2021.
Santa Barbara police say a driver in a Mercedes was attempting to change lanes when the vehicle was struck by a car traveling behind it. The collision sent the Mercedes into the side of the Cruisery Restaurant.
The driver of the Mercedes was taken to the hospital. The restaurant building suffered damage, but it appears no one inside was hurt. The other driver was not taken to the hospital. Investigators continue to investigate the circumstances that led to the crash.
