Porterville Police say they found a female victim who had been struck by a car near Jaye Street. She was rushed to the hospital where she later passed away.
The driver involved in the accident stayed on the scene to cooperate with Porterville Officers. Police investigators continue to look into the circumstances of the accident, but they do not believe alcohol or drugs played a role.
