Deadly Motorcycle Collision in Fresno
A collision between a motorcycle and a pickup truck claimed the life of a rider in central Fresno Tuesday night. FOX26-TV reported the accident happened on Ashlan Avenue west of Cedar Avenue on January 26, 2021.
Fresno Police say the driver of the truck was making a turn from eastbound Ashlan Avenue into a parking lot. The truck collided head-on with a motorcycle traveling westbound on Ashlan Avenue. The motorcycle was pinned underneath the front of the truck. The motorcyclist, a victim in his twenties, was rushed to the hospital but tragically died on the way.
The driver of the truck was not injured. He told officers he did not see the oncoming motorcycle when he made his turn. The accident remains under investigation.
