Collisions Involving Farm Vehicles And Tanker Trucks in Visalia CA

The Central Valley is proud to be an agricultural hub for the nation, but that daily industry and farm activity can lead to hazards on local roads in and around Visalia.

Giant farm equipment can take to the roads and put motorists in danger. Large transport trucks hauling produce, livestock, and dairy roaring down local highways can be large obstacles in the lanes.

A driver can suddenly come upon a giant vehicle in the road, taking up more than a lane, and have little time to react to avoid a collision.

Woman Badly Injured in Collision with Milk Tanker near Visalia

A woman had to be flown to a hospital after a collision with a dairy truck in Tulare County on Wednesday afternoon. The Visalia Times-Delta reported the accident happened around 1:30 p.m. west of Visalia on Avenue 280 and Road 48 on January 20, 2021.

California Highway Patrol officers say a pickup truck collided with a milk tanker right outside of a dairy farm. An occupant in the pickup was found pinned inside the vehicle and had to be rescued. She was air-flighted by Sky Life to the hospital. Authorities said the woman was in critical condition.

Road 48 had to be closed for a while to give the helicopter a place to land. The investigation into the cause of the accident continues.

Support for Visalia Farm Truck Accident Victims

A collision with the giant trucks that crisscross Tulare County can leave victims to recover from severe injuries. These vehicles used to transport goods from farms and out to processing centers can be two or three times bigger or more than a normal car, truck, or SUV. Those semi and tanker truck drivers should show extra care for anyone in a smaller vehicle nearby.

If you are a victim in a crash, keeping a positive outlook during rehabilitation from injury can be key, but that can be hard when you have to worry about mounting medical bills. If you didn’t cause your crash, you shouldn’t have to meet that financial burden alone. An at-fault driver’s insurance should be called upon to pay for every ambulance and hospital fee, including coving any care needed in the weeks and months to come. That compensation can also include the financial damages involved with missing work and paychecks while you are down with an injury.

In the case of a professional truck driver, they may also be covered by their employer’s insurance policy. An attorney working for you can investigate just how many different parties may be held liable for your injuries.
