Help for Merced County Accident Victims

After a devastating vehicle collision, insurance companies should be the first to step up to help injured victims in their recovery. This is the reason we pay insurance premiums, to protect ourselves and others hurt in an accident.

Victims who are seriously hurt in an accident can file a claim for damages against the insurance company of the at-fault driver to try to gain help paying for medical bills and to recoup the loss of salary while victims have been away from work. Civil lawsuits generally target insurance companies and not the drivers themselves.

Insurance agents can make things difficult for victims by withholding or stalling benefits. There are times when a family affected by a terrible accident can have financial issues trying to pay hospital costs and even monthly bills. Compensation from an insurance company is not a bonus. It can be vitally needed by victims and their families just to stay afloat.
